LA Driving School provides driving lessons in and around Kettering and Corby. Lucy Allfree is a fully qualified DSA Approved Driving Instructor and is Pass Plus registered.
Lucy was a BSM instructor and operated a BSM franchise in Kettering and Corby before forming LA Driving School. She maintains the high standards of that organisation but with the customer care that only a small business can offer.
Pupils learn to drive in a brand new Vauxhall Corsa with dual controls, ABS, air conditioning and six airbags. You can choose driving lessons of 1hr, 1.5hrs or 2hrs duration and prices to suit your budget. Block booking discounts are available or you can just Pay As You Go. There is no extra charge for evening and weekend lessons.
Collections and drop-offs can be at home, school, work or college to fit in with your busy schedule and you'll never have another pupil in the car with you - all our lessons are strictly on a one-to-one basis.
I offer intensive trianing courses which can be done over a few weeks or can be taken over a slightly longer period of time which is more adviseable. We can help you work to a specific deadline, like if you need to fit it into a holiday period or if you are off to uni in a few months.
Learning to drive in one or two weeks is not usually a good idea - no wonder some driving schools refer to them as "crash" courses. Intensive driving courses utilise short-term memory, which means the brain stores and manipulates information temporarily. This makes successful candidates more of a safety risk than those that take their lessons over a more lengthy period.
Semi-intensive courses are a much safer way of learning to drive. By having three or four two-hour lessons per week the knowledge and skills are retained whilst still learning at a steady pace.
It is strongly recommended that pupils taking intensive courses take the Pass Plus course as soon as possible after they pass their practical test.
