Hi, my name is Darren Smith and I run a single car driving school in Jacksdale, Nottinghamshire.
I have been teaching for over 6 years and pride myself on being very understanding and sympathetic of my pupils needs, after all everyone is different (thank goodness). So I like the experience of learning to drive to be an enjoyable one for everybody.
To put it plainly, we can have a laugh whilst still learning to drive. What more could you want!!
I don't want my pupils looking at the clock throughout the lesson, hoping for it to end. I want them to be looking at the calender at home and hoping the next lesson is soon.
Although based in Jacksdale, I cover most villages and towns within a 15 to 20 minute drive.
My car is a new shape Renault Clio which is a 1.5 diesel and has a manual gearbox. It is a lovely car to drive and also has the added bonus of air conditioning (should we ever need it in England!!).
I offer all levels of tuition from the nervous first timer, to the super confident driver who needs a few hours on the motorway.
Refresher courses are also available and help to build confidence. I am also registered for Pass plus which is an additional 6 hours of tuition which includes motorway driving.
Pass Plus is not compulsory but it is highly recommended and can save money on insurance. I offer block booking discounts and discounts for students and anyone who's unemployed.

Tuesday to friday 10 am to 8.30 pm
Sat 10.30 am to 2 pm
Pricing: 1 hour tuition (standard) £19
1 hour tuition (student or unemployed) £18
1 1/2 hours tuition £28.50 or £27 (depending on hourly rate)
2 hours of tuition £38 or £36 (depending on hourly rate)
Block booking discount £170 for 10 hours of tuition (available as often as required)
Pass Plus course is 6 hours of tuition at the respective hourly rate
