I have been a DSA approved driving instructor since 1979. I have worked for a couple of national driving schools but most of my time has been spent as an independent driving school. I am on the local committee of the Motor Schools Association and also a member of the National Joint Council of Approved Driving Instructors.
I am a member of South Staffs Association of Driving Instructors,
which is a very active group with many members.
All of these things enable me to keep up with the fast changing scene of the driving instruction business.
I have undergone several sessions of Skid Pan training with Staffordshire Police at Hixon.
Driving lessons can be taken weekly or arranged on a more regular basis to suit the pupils circumstances.
I not only teach learner drivers I also promote the Pass Plus syllabus as recommended by the DSA.
Motorway instruction can be arranged after passing the DSA driving test and if anyone requires refresher lessons to regain confidence after a break from driving, I can accomodate those people too.
I have recently undergone a CRB check which is now required by the DSA to enable instructors to carry out their business.
The vehicle that I use at the moment is a Vauxhall Corsa SXi. The Vauxhall Corsa is a popular tuition vehicle with driving schools nationwide and my pupils find it a safe and comfortable environment in which to learn to drive.
